On March 3, the China Instrument and Meter Industry Association organized experts to evaluate the project "Key Technologies and Applications of Broadband, High-Precision Rydberg Atom Electric Field Measurement" jointly developed by institutions including China Southern Power Grid Science Research Institute and South China Normal University. The expert group unanimously confirmed that the achievements have reached the internationally advanced level, among which core technologies such as real-time measurement of low-frequency electric fields and large-detuning broadband electric field measurement are in a leading position internationally. This technology has overcome the pain points of traditional electric field measurement, such as low precision and slow response in complex electromagnetic environments, and can be widely applied in fields such as power systems, electromagnetic environment monitoring, and national defense and military industries. As a cutting-edge branch of industrial instruments and meters, this achievement will promote the upgrading of domestic power measurement instruments and provide technical advantages for the export of related products to the power markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
